ready, set, go!

We had our first offical class meeting today. Its a documentary film class that addresses land resource use for an area near Beaufort. I'm excited, the course focuses on community involvement in natural resource management. Reminds me of the summer in PA talking with all the local people. People are nice, there's about 24 of us living on the island. Going to my first Duke game next saturday! Weather is windy and cool, beats anything in ohio this time of year.

Getting Ready!

Still nine days left before I actually leave for Duke, but I'm already starting to pack things up. To be honest, I haven't really unpacked.

Oh yeah and its Christmas! What did I get? Mom got me some nic-nacs for spring, clothes, and a new tent and sleeping bag for backpacking. Which I can't wait to get out there and use them, wherever that may be.

Keeping with that theme, I actually made my own stove yesterday. Check it out, it's made from Pepsi cans.
